Shawn Sharifi - Bass Guitar & Backup Vocals
  Shawn has been playing bass for 23 years. It all started with his first Beatles album at age 10. Two years later, when he got his first taste of KISS, the path was laid. "I was always intrigued by the bass players. It seemed like something different. Everyone played guitar or drums and there was a niche to fill."

Shawn played in various bands until joining MisFit in 1986 where he met Sammy and Todd. "We had a great time touring the east coast and became close friends." A fact that is evident on stage. "We really know each others` style and feed off that."

Five years ago JJ approached Shawn about putting a band together to play a birthday party for a friend: Donny Jones [the inspiration behind the band]. Danny and Todd were already on board; all that was needed was a drummer.
It was a no brainer. Sammy was the man for the job. "I called him up already knowing what the answer would be." All the pieces were in place and Punch Buggy was born. "It`s the most enjoyable band I`ve ever been in and I hope it never ends."

Influences range from: Beatles, KISS, Rush, Iron Maiden and [of course] Led Zepplin to Elton John, Lionel Ritchie, and Kenny Logins.
